ATS provides special equipment to facilitate media production for Franklin & Marshall faculty and students for use in projects that support the mission of the College. ATS also provides audio-visual equipment loan for class presentations and other College-related activities.
Training in the use of the equipment is the responsibility of the user and is provided by ATS, upon request. If you are planning to use this equipment, please plan to receive your training in advance. Online QuickStarts are also available to help you get started using this equipment.
NOTE:
Equipment may not be borrowed for personal or entertainment use or removed from campus for use by community non-profit organizations or businesses.
MiniDV tapes for recording digital video must be supplied by the borrower. miniDV tapes are sold at the Campus Computer Store. Only videocassettes with the mini DV logo should be used.

Faculty Use:
Franklin & Marshall faculty may borrow media prodution equipment for recognized activities that support the mission of the College. The typical loan period is 7 days for all equipment. Extended loans are available under special circumstances, upon request. Because the equipment is limited, and to be sure the equipment is available, please make your request at least 48 hours in advance. The requesting faculty member are responsible for picking up and returning the equipment. This program is by possible through funding from the Committee on Academic Technology.

Student Use:
Current Franklin & Marshall students may borrow media prodution equipment for recognized activities that support the mission of the College; e.g., class projects, internships, or official student organizations. Student requests must be supported by a faculty member or organization advisor. The equipment must be picked up and returned to ATS at the prearranged time.
To make a request, borrowers must complete Request for A-V Equipment Form at least 48 hours in advance. These forms are available in ATS. Equipment loans are made on the basis of equipment availability.
