What's your Blackboard Username and Password?
Official access to any Blackboard course at the College requires a Blackboard Username and Password.
USERNAME:
Your Blackboard username is the same username you use to access MyDiplomat, eDisk, your F&M eMail account, etc.
For example:
Ben Franklin = bfrankli
Ima Student = istudent
PASSWORD:
Blackboard passwords are unique to Blackboard. They are not necessarily the same as your unified F&M password (myDiplomat, eDisk, F&M email). If you change your Blackboard password, your password for other campus applications will NOT automatically change. The opposite is also the case; for example, changing your MyDiplomat password will not automatically change your Blackboard password. You only have one Blackboard password for all Blackboard courses; any changes to your Blackboard password occur across all Blackboard courses in which you are registered.
In order to request a new password, you will need to follow the link below. Complete the first option on the Lost Password form. The fields are case-sensitive; therefore, you will need to enter your full first and last name using a capital letter at the beginning of each. Your username, the short name used to access MyDiplomat, should be entered using all lower-case letters. Once you've completed the form, click Submit.
A receipt screen will appear directing you to check your email. The email message is automatically generated and the sender will be listed as Blackboard Administrator.
Access your email account and open the automated email. Click on the link included within the email. The Change Password page will appear. Enter a password in the fields provided. Keep in mind that Blackboard passwords are case-sensitive. Click Submit.
REMEMBER: In Blackboard, your username, password, and e-mail address are case-sensitive.
