Stahr Auditorium Utilization Guidelines

Stahr Auditorium, located on the first floor of Stager Hall, is a 150 seat auditorium used for College events of special stature. While the facility is managed operationally by ATS, requests for use are made throught the College Reservationist.

Guidelines for Use

  1. The auditorium will be primarily available for events of special stature, or for events requiring the special equipment available in this facility.
  2. Unless the auditorium is the most appropriate room to use for an event because of its special capabilities, it is recommended that another facility be used. The special capabilities of this room are:
    1. modern and complete audio visual equipment;
    2. comfortable , high quality, tiered seating in a well-sized auditorium.
  3. It is strongly recommended that groups requiring the auditorium for a period of time that involves repeated use, attempt to reserve another facility.
  4. Reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis by the College reservationist, who will have the authority to determine if the event being scheduled is making the best use of the room. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.
  5. There will normally be a $25.00 per event, per day charge for the use of the auditorium.
  6. All use of special equipment must be cleared through the Assistant Director of ATS at least two weeks in advance.
  7. Use of the auditorium may require supervision by a member of the ATS staff.
    1. For events that utilize the audio-visual equipment, a supervisor may be present in the auditorium throughout the event.
    2. For events that use little or no equipment, a supervisor may be present on the premises throughout the event.
  8. No food, drink, smoking, or pets will be allowed in the auditorium at any time.
    1. If food or drink are offered in the lobby areas, arrangements should be made through the College's food service, and the College's reservation must be made aware of such arrangements.
  9. No outside groups will be allowed to use the auditorium. (Special requests will be referred to the College's Facilities Committee.)
  10. Each group and/or individual using the auditorium will be responsible for cleaning up after the event. There will be a penalty imposed for failure to comply with these guidelines. Depending on the nature and extent of the damage or abuse, a minimum clean-up charge of $20.00 will be assessed.
In addition, access to the auditorium by the group or individual being penalized may be denied for a stated period of time.
